EDIT: You guys are amazing. This has gotten 100 faves, more than I could ever expect from this!
FINALLY! I worked up enough nerve to digitize and color this picture in! (And it took me less time to do so! ONLY ONE DAY!!!!!! I'm getting faster!)
This style I've developed, I've decided to dub "Sonic X+" (Read that as "Sonic X Plus"), The reason is, while it does have the style of Sonic X's coloring and drawing, there is also an extra coloring component (a gradient) that I have added to make the style a little more my own.
Anyways, this was a lot of fun to color. It came out almost exactly as I had envisioned it. I did have some trouble at the beginning as Flash wouldn't cooperate with gradients. It wasn't until I looked through the various components of the image that I found the problem. I was almost ready to release it just without the gradients, but I'm happy I didn't.
I'm noticing my coloring skills getting a lot better. I hope this will be the same for the image of Vector the Crocodile. (and a picture of Wave the Swallow I plan on doing.)
Sorry if the colors seem a bit too "hot" (like Charmy's reddish-pink helmet lining), they looked fine on my tablet. I'll adjust them in the morning.)
That's only true with a stinger that has hooks on it; it's called a "barbed" stinger. If a bee or other insect with a smooth stinger attacks an intruder, they can remove the stinger, and thus, live and continue stinging.
