Let me tell you 3 times where Archie Comics spoiled a good plot point for the sake of preview:
1.Sally surviving Dr. Eggman's gun turret, then getting roboticized. (Spoiled by a reveal of Issue 231 at Comic-Con 2011)
2.Sally getting de-roboticized, with a new design. (Spoiled by a reveal in 2012 which was leaked onto the internet)
3.In issue 250, Sonic becoming... uh... (well, I can't spoil this plot point for those who don't want to know, do I?
As a result of these info leaks, I've seen fanart of these spoilers around deviantART.
Now, some people might think "Oh, it's the artist's fault for drawing a picture to make the spoiler more widespread."
Archie, keep your storylines secret, so that way they have more impact!
I know I'm sounding like a whiny no-lifer (like these guys: [link] who riffs on stuff for no reason. Also, to be honest, I don't actually have enough information for that third argument. I saw an image of that plot point which has sort of changed my opinion of whether or not they were going to actually use it in the comic. I was spoiled a bit about it back in 2012, but that was too early to tell, and I took it as a POSSIBLE plot point, thus, I felt fine.
It's just I'm seeing information about the comics that I DON'T want to know. (It's like that big fiasco with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows spoilers being leaked by idiots back in 2007.) The only way I can see prevention of this information from becoming widespread is to cut it off at the source.
IN SHORT: Archie Comics is releasing story-changing plot point spoilers. When I finally get to the comic in question, I won't be surprised, and that's a problem.
